Where exactly should i go in for a bmp.

Hi all,

Please let me know in what kind of scenarios should I go in for a BPM.

1.Like collecting multiple idocs and sending to a file server but this can be achieved using an XML port.

hi somya,

The general requirement for BPM is when the messages has to be persisted in XI for a while before delivering to the receiving system. During this persistence you take decision based on the content of the message.

<u>For example</u>

Suppose there is case where you are ordering for books on online book shops. You will order for say many books from diff publications now, XI has to split the orders into single and process them, since it has to be processed at diff publication webservices, here we opt for BPM.

If you want to collect IDocs for certain amount of time or if your message to be waited for certain amount of time depending upon your business requirements then you will use BPM.

HI,

If you have a requirement where you need to collect the IDOC for some duration of time suppose 15 min then at that time you can go ahead with the BPM now again this will differ on requirement to requirement.

BPM is usually used for multimapping mapping scenarios.

But for the above scenario which you have mention you can refer that weblog for achieving the same.

HI,

For this requirement you do not require BPM,refer the web log which gives you the step by step procedure of implementing the same.

Collect the IDOC in XML and use the file adapter to pick up the XML IDOC.
