Copy control of Variant Configuration from QT to OR

We have a requirement here to copy Variant configuration from Quotation to

Sales Order and change it in Sales order.

However,when i create a Sales order with reference to Quotation, the

Variant configuration at header level is only getting copied, but the

variant configuration at lower level is not getting copied.

At item level (item cat. AGC) copy control between QT and OR, i have tried

all options in configuration tab(A,B,C etc..), however the lower level config is not getting copied. With option C the lower level config gets copied but is not

modifiable in QT nor SO.

Any suggestions?

I hope this will clarify your query:

This control should only be used for the item category that represents the end product, that is, for the item category of the main item.

The following characteristics are available:

" " - No particular control

A - Copy configuration/ do not fix

B - Copy / fix configuration

C - Copy configuration /automatically fixed

When you copy the configuration, the target document simply uses the configuration in the source document and nothing is actively configured for that item. The system does not run the dependencies and the bill of material is not re-exploded. Once you have copied the configuration, if it is changed in the source document, it will also change in the target document.

If a configuration is fixed in the target document, you cannot change the configuration. The document cannot be "unfixed", that is, you will never be able to change the configuration.

It is not helping.
