Description of Materail group in R/3 and Product catagory in SRM is differ

Hi,

Description in Material Grp in R/3 and Product catagory in SRM is different.

We have updated Description in R/3 of materail grp but same is not reflecting in SRM even Delta downloading is active?

So what could be the reason or is there any way to update the description as we do not have functionality to change product catagory in SRM which can be change in R/3 only.

As standard only R/3 short descriptions are replicated to SRM. If you want to bring over the material group long description do the following...

SRM – SM30 – table COMC_HIERARCHY

Select – Transfer 60-character description

Run R3AS (for DNL_CUST_PROD1) again to bring over product categories.

Hi,

There is no delta load available for Product categories but only for materials/Products.So you need to carry out the Initial Load again(thru trascn R3AS) in SRM so that the changes in the Material group description(done in R/3) is reflected in SRM.
