installating XI on windows with sql server first time - error SAPINST

Hi

trying to intall sap XI on windows 2000 server

I followed the steps

1. installed win2k3 advanced server

2. ie 6

3. office xp, acrobat, winxip

4. kept the dvd dump in the drive

5. installed jdk and java_home

6. installed sql 2000 server with patches 3

while doing sapinst process, i.e centeral instance, its showing error, can u provide me the step by step precisely so that I can install this

config

120 gb hard disc

1024 ram

p4 process

Pl help me

I recommed 2 GB RAM.
