Technical to Functional

Hi,

Currently working as technical consultant. Looking to study functional.

Now bit confusing as which functional to study.

Is it ok if i study FICO though i have engineering background or is it require any commerce background

I am experienced in BADI, OOPS workflow and general ABAP.

Kindly let me know number of opening for techno functional if i study

FICO or SCM or SRM or any other functional.

Your views and thoughts are most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi Hari,

Good that you are a Technical Consultant.

To become a Functional Consultant the academic background would be of some help and is an added advantage because you have the fundamentals, but it is not mandatory.

You can choose any one depending on your interest, taking into consideration of your technical experience ..........etc.

As far as my experience is concerned, I saw most of the engineering background consultants normally choose SD, MM, SRM, CRM etc.

Very less choose FI/CO, because FI/CO need to have more in depth knowledge/fundamentals as it is the heart module for any kind of project.

Seems SCM, MDM, SRM is hot now a days.I suggest you can choose one among them. Anyway take a good decision taking into lot of things into mind.
