SICF transaction - MIME and BeX Service settings

Hi...

Can anyone tell me, the setting for the services in SICF transaction.

Under \default_host\sap\bw\BEx -> double click

\default_host\sap\bw\Mime -> double click

We have the tabs - Service data, Handler list, Error Pages. I feel the settings are not properly maintained here, as a result, the full functionality of Web reporting is not used.

Can anyone say how the settings should be maintained. Any good documentation reg. this...

you dont need to make any settings there.

just right click and activate them along with the following nodes

default_host

sap

bw

Hi,

if you have problems with the mimes, it might be necessary to add an anonymous user for the mime service.

Why do you think the settings are not correct? What doesn't work?

I have a situation here, after I activate the \default _ host \ sap \ bw and subfolders, when I do the test service BEx, I am getting the error as

The Web site cannot be found

The Web site you are looking for is unavailable due to its identification configuration settings.

Background:

This error indicates that the gateway could not find the IP address of the Web site you are trying to access.

I know the reason but do not know the implication of change or where to do the change.

1st thing, server is hosting by SAP. that's why default host goes to that host. But Client has alias to that host. On the browser if I remove the default host and replace the alias it's working. Question where to apply the change. If I change in SMICM parameter, then do I need restart the system or the Java WEB AS.

I will appreciate the help.

the hostname determination is described in note:

The ICM needs to be restarted after the changes in order the parameters to take effect.
