Deployment - How to exclude stock for dependant demand

Hello,

I have a plant with Part A with 4000 pieces of stock and dependant demand of 2000 pieces ( this part is component to maufacture Part B ) . DC has a demand of 3000 pieces for Part A.

Even though there is dependant demand on the part A, deployment create STR of 3000 pieces to go to DC. How do I block 2000 pieces so that my plant can use it and Deployment confirms 2000 pieces ?.

Typically ATI (the demand snapshot for deployment) does have dependent demand ATP category AY. Can you confirm this to be the case ? That does not ensure though that stock at source location will be reserved for the dependent demand. to make that happen you may need to configure user-defined fair-share rule strategy X. this may require some coding. explore badi /SAPAPO/FS_USER
