Error while configuring STMS

Hi

While configuring TMS ,

I just entered STMS. in 000 client. it pops up a dialog box with details like DOMAIN_CFG and after that i tried to save same. It has give me error that The password must contain at least 3 digits (0-9)

Can any one help in this regard.

Hi Atul,

Just try to reset User TMSADM from STMS>System Overview>Extras menu....

Refer to note 761637

Did you get any popup saying TMS ADM could not be created?

Looks like there was a problem in creating the TMSADM user.

Do you have any password related parameters active?

By the way did you maintain your company address?

Looks like the parameter login/min_password_digits is active in your system and it is set to 3. Deactivate/delete this parameter and check what happens?

HI Atul,

When you enter STMS for the first time it will create the DOMAIN_CFG

domain group and tp config file and all the required rfc's like

tmsadm@domainname and other.It will not ask any password.

Can u be clear with ur question exactly what problem ur getting?

Is this the first time you are trying to configure stms or you want to move

your domain controller to other system.

I am doing fresh configuration of TMS.

Below are the steps performed by me:

1. login to client 000

2. Go to SE06 --Perform post installation activities

3. go to STMS --- a dialog box appear containg infor like System ID , DOMAIN_CFG . I have tried to save it and I got the above said error.

HI Atul,

If you have installed a new system through dvd'd then configuration of ST06

is not necessary.If you have installed from a database copy then it should

be done.Also check the above mentioned parameters.Also check whether

the rfc wee generated or not in SM59 with the name

TMSADM@DOMAIN.SID.

Only TMS user is getting automatically created not RFC connection.
