Audit trail for R3

I wanted to see what options you had for auditing users in an r/3 system.

2 scenarios.

1. If the audit log has not been activated is there any way to get the following info: What users logged onto the system and for how long?

2. If the audit log has been activated, same info as above

Is there a way to download or view all transactions made or posted and a daily and monthly basis per UserID in detail? Can you provide the transaction code if possible. Thank you very much.
