SSL and X.509: browser doesn't prompt for a certificate

Thank You Olivier,

And i wan to ask one more question:

You mapped Your S user and Abap user, but how i could map my all ABAP users. Can i get certificate from sap.service.com for all users im my ABAP system. As i understand i can't configure X.509 without certificate from sap and i noticed that in sap i must order SSL Server Certificates. Is other way to configure SSL and X.509 without any orders.

Hello Mindaugas,

I used the SAP client certificate for a test but it is not intended for this use as it is designed for access on service.sap.com.

You can get a free personnal client certificate from several vendors : Google with

"free mail certificate" as keywords and you'll find a lot of them.

You can use the same client certificate for several different ABAP systems, the choice is up to you.

For testing purpose, you don't need to purchase a SSL server certificate, you can just use a self-signed one.

In my company, we just buy signed SSL server certificates for internet use. We have an internal certification authority for intranet use.

Hope this helps,

Olivier
