Hi folks,

I am new to XI. I need to create a BPM process which has to trigger an external web service. Could any one tell me how can i proceed in this?

Steps what i have done so far in this regard is ,

1. consumed a external web service into IR as external definition

2. created message types similar to this external definition message types.

3. Created Inbound interface(for external service) and outbound interface from my system.

4. Created the operation mapping & message mapping between this 2 messages.

So in the integration directory , i didnt start with the process. So kindly help me in this process.

Thanks,

Senthilkumar

hi senthil,

wen u bring external definitions into xi u dnt need to create msg types. u need to craete msg interfaces and use these msg types in that.

ur bpm design will completely depend on how u want ur msg to be processed. if u simply want to call an external web service and there is no other requirement , there is no need to design a process. u just need a receiver soap adapter and do necessary configurations.

for using soap adapter refer this:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d23cbe11-0d01-0010-5287-873... - How to use xi SOAP adapter
