Hi Experts,
I am using SAPGUI 7.10 for BI7.0 with VISTA.
I have installed below mentioned support packages:
1. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SDK
2. Using microsoft Excel 2003
3. Latest patches:
a) BW350GUI710_2-10004
b) BI710SP03_300-10004472
& c) GUI710_5-10002995
BEX Analyzer is not working but showing left buttons with t.code rrmx.
Please provide me solution to this typical problem.
You will be assigned full marks.
Thanks!

Hi,
if your BEx Buttons do not work with office/excel 2003,
refer to SAP Note 1025122 - BEx Analyzer and compilation CD 1 of SAP GUI 7.10
Install Microsoft fix 907417 on your affected PCs (can be downloaded from Microsoft Help and Support under http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907417/).
and the latest .NET Framework updates.
re-install your SAPGUI from scratch and install only the 3.5 or 7.0 BW/BI options with patches. do not install both.

Eric, do you mean that GUI 7.10 does not allow the peaceful (mostly) coexistence of the 3.x and the 7.x BI frontend tools?
Is there an official source for this?
Or is it some "state of evolution" of the 7.10 frontend?
Because: You have to have both toolsets in the phase after the upgrade from BW 3.x to BI 7.0. At least my customer collegues had to...
Kind regards, Rudi
I can back up what Eric mentions above. The BI7 and the BW3.x modules do not work well together and you are much better off just installing one or the other.
I just spent an hour trying to figure out why the BI7 Analyzer kept bombing out Excel. This went away when we re-installed the GUI from scratch replacing the 7.0 module with the 3.x.
No points needed. I just wanted to point out that the Analyzer continues to cause a lot of support issues.
