Hi,
I wanted to know that what is the criterion for SLD configuration. How to select which system/component is going to be a BS, TS, SC or a Product. How to assign dependecies.
If you have some specific document, please let me know .

I can just give some tips on configuring SLD. Here it is.
Technical Landscape[ lets to view and define systems, servers and clients on your SLD]
. You can see diff 'techmical system types choose one as your requirement', then select New Technical system. Give details like SID, Installation no, and DB host name. Give Msg server and Central application server details. Select the avilable products and its corresponding components.
Bussiness Landscape[ Lets you to view and configure business systems to use in XI]
. Select the 'new Busineww system', give a name and select a type. Next it shows a wizard, that lets to select the systm, with the client. On clicking the next, leads to a window where you need to select the 'Business system role and Related integration server'.

it simply depends on ur landscape what all components are u going to define in sld. all the senders and receivers of messages in a scenario shud be defined in sld if their tech details are known alse u create busi services in ID.
