All feilds of IDOC to one feild..

i want all the feilds of an IDOC at the sender to be sent to one feild in the target mapping...

how can it be done...

i think u are looking for concatenating all the source fields into one target field. yep it can be done but in the case of idocs when u try to concatne all the source fields (100+) into one target field i belive u will runto exceptions during execution or maybe truncation of data.

Hey Dude,

Use concatenation function in graphical editor or write an UDF to do so. U just read one reply or you start from last.

concatenation is used for only two strings right...

some one asked me this...they wanted the mapping part...

even i am not clear with this...

is it possible to get that way..

all the feilds of an IDOC to a sibgle feild in the target...

Hi Raghvesh,

I guess you can make a string of any input XML or a idoc .. directly convert it using graphical mapping as input as Idoc n output as a string field. Do concatenation and then map the result to target string. or for this you can also write a UDF and then provide the resultset to ur target string.

this may be a requirement,
