hello sap gurus,

Landscae contains Dev, Qlt , Prodn.

My doubt is that In real time, in Dev server - how many clients will be therre and what r they.? lllly in qlty server and Prodn server - how many and what are they

DOVE:-1. golden client(exact where we configure all structure,docs,itemcats,......

2. abap client(abaper will work on this client

3. unit test client ( every module consulternt will test thier dovelopments them self

QUALITY:- 1.master client( here the data will come form golden and sotered as master copy

2.testing client:- her all modules will do test combindingly

3.training clint:- here we will give traing to clinets and accepentncy test all we will do here

PRODUCTION:- 1.production clinet( her all real transaction will happen and the data also stores in this client

hi,

it depands on a lot of things but according to me the dev shud have 3 clients- golden master, abap and sandbox. the QAS and PRD can have one each.

Hi,

Development client is nothing but where we have to do all config.

Actually there are different clients in developments depends upon the size of the project.for ex:Dev-110 and Dev-120 one can be used for sandbox(no transport request generated) and the other can be used for confi.(here TR will be genrated for confi.).

From here we transport data to Quality where the user acceptance can be done.

Once this is over then we move data to production.

Some times before moving changes to production we have one more client called Pre-production here we normally perform regression testing.

So this is called landscape.

Hi,

There will be three servers DEV-Devp/QAS-Quality/PRD-Production,

It again depends on the project requirements,

In stand practice you will have two clients in DEV- that is one will be Sandbox and other one will be Development , and QAS and PRD.
