Dear members,
Will removing the session time out or increasing the session time parameter on development server affect performance of server. We have about 40 user sessions max connected to development. Session time out currently is default after 15 min and this bugs.

You can test it dynamically without restarting SAP. Transaction RZ11, parameter rdisp/gui_auto_logout.
I don't think you will notice any performance issue, but just give it a try. To make the setting permanent you will have to edit your instance profile in RZ10.

it will eventually use more memory. people not doing anything are still using some memory for nothing.
a timeout value will help you regain this unused memory and bounce out people that are not active. this is good for security reasons.
5 minutes seems to be low, though, increase it.
