CCMSPING update

Dear all,

At the moment we're running CCMSPING patch 2006/1 and I've read the latest patch is 2007/6. I'd like to update our current version to this latest one.

But how to update this? Do I need to deregister the old one and register the new one? Will this have any impact on our current configuration of CCMS and GRMG scenarios?

Or is there another approach how to upgrade the CCMSPING?

Didn't find specific information about this topic until now, so any feedback is appreciated.

Hell Roel,

updating agents:

- stop agent

- replace executable

- start agent.

That's it

It is not necessary to deregister and register the agent again in this case.

Only if the agent executable is changed from a non-unicode to an unicode executable a new registration could be necessary as the passwd file (used by the agent to push the data to the CEN using the CSMREG user) cannot be read by the unicode executable.
