HI,

The SEEBURGER Business Integration Converter (BIC) is an any-to-any format converter, used to translate EDI data and legacy data formats into XML and vice versa. It can also be used for complex, high performance XML-to-XML mappings or to interface to existing JDBC data sources.

Supported EDI formats include:

• ANSI

• EDIFACT

• INHOUSE

• IDOC

• XML Schema

• XML DTD

• CSV

• Delimited Data

• positional data

• SWIFT

• EANCOM

and many more.

See for converting the EDI XML to EDI and XML-EDI you need to have a seeburger mapping program at the adapter module which does the conversion. For this module you need a BIC tool of seeburger which provides the different module program for EDI to XML and XML-EDI. This program needs to be deployed on XI and through adapter it has to be called for conversion.

You need to use the mapping which is provided by Seeburger in the module parameter of the adapter. using BIC you need to create a zar files which need to be deployed in XI.

Thnx

To let you know we have the Generic Seeburger FTP adapter installed without any VAN. So we have currently installed Seeburger BIC map designer tool in our local system to test the proceessing of the EDI file.

We want to how to create mappings to convert this PO 850(ANSI X12) format to xml which can be used in XI for further processing using BIC mapper and also let us know if this file is been ANSI X12 850 is converted to xml will it process the above mentioned file in XI.

Please let us know the clear steps of how to use BIC mapper tools are we dont have any idea about BIC mapper as well as processing of ANSI X12 messages in XI.

HI,

NOw I got your requirement.

See seeburger BIC tool has all the std mapping program which converts the EDI to XML and XML to EDI .

Steps:

1) Deploye the std mapping program on XI server.

2) Use that mapping program in the module tab of adapter which will do the conversion.

The std mapping which seeburger has provided is always starts with See_E2X_ORDERS_D96A. So you need to find out which std mapping program will be used in adapter module.

3) Configuration which need to be done in adapter:

Follow my below reply for understanding purpose

Few changes in the module parameter tab.

localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean bic

CallSapAdapter 0

Module configuration:

bic= destSourceMsg = MainDocument

bic= destTargetMsg = MainDocument

bic= mappingName= See_E2X_EDIFACT_ORDERS_UN_D93A

Do let me know if still not clear to you.

Hi Chirag,

<b>1) Deploye the std mapping program on XI server.</b>

Where do we find out the STD mapping program in BIC Mapper, so that we can deploy it on XI Server.

And is there any steps that needs to be followed for deploying in XI server.

Please tel me the Brief Steps to do this.

Hi,

Under the project there is a mapping tab which has all the std mapping program provided by seeburger.

When you right click on project it wil ask for Create deploy file do that and using SDM you deploye that on XI server.

Hope this clear your doubt.

Hi Chirag,

I Installed BIC MD in my Local System.

When I Opened BIC MD, I got the Project Explorer By Default.

But Under that I have a name with "Mappings", I dont have any thing Under this name mappings.

Then I Right clicked on Project & Click on Import.

I Imported "prj_GeneratorMappings.zip.bicmd" File From \User\bicmd\Exchange Path. Now I am Able to See the Following Options Under Mappings

CreateMappingEdiToXML

CreateMappingXMLToEdi

CreateXMLMessage

If I Clicked on "CreateMappingEdiToXML" , No mappings Available related to me

( EDI ANSI X12 mappings )

Please See the Bellow Screeshot of the BIC MD.

HI,

If you have bought the Seeurger license then you should have all the std mapping programs under the mappings tab.

The mapping program which you had mentioned is used when you have created your own data types in BIC and you need to have the XSD and mapping for the conversion.

Ask the seeburger guy he will give you all the mapping which need to be imported in BIC tool.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Chirag,

This is to let you know that,

We Installed Seeburger Generic Adapter on XI Server.

After that Our BASIS Guy Did some Importing of SDA Files and all....

Then We are able to see the S/w Component in IR SEEBURGER_GENERIC_EDI, 1.7.1 of seeburger.

In SEEBURGER_GENERIC_EDI, 1.7.1 of seeburger----http://seeburger.com/B2BContent-->>>Mapping Objects

We are Able to see the Mappings Between ANSI X12 & IDOC.

Similarly i am able to see the EDI ANSI X12 Structures Under External Def.

We are gettings EDI ANSI X12 850 ( PO ) Data to post it into R/3 Via IDOC.

Please let me know how to Use this Standard mappings for this Interface.

<b>Mappings are Available in IR means can We Avoid the BIC MD ???</b>

Please See the Bellow Mentioned IR Screenshot.

Hi Bopanna ,

the BIC Mapping Designer is a standalone solution. There should be an installation file.
