Can a particular software component which has already been created under a product and used in the IR, be Associated with another Product?
Can we assign a Software Component to Multiple Products?

Yes , we can assign a particular SWCV to multiple products.
If we create a product to a customer which has no. of swcv's and if the need arises
to create same senorio for other custmer's product, we can assign the previous
swcv to the new customers product

No a particular software component which is assigned to a Product cannot be assigned or associated to another Product......

No, you cant. See Microsot office is software product and MS-WORD is a software component under it. MS-Excel, Powerpoint is also software component under it. But u cant say microsoft-word may come under other product by logic otherwise u can deliver it with other product with nonsense.
IN XI also follow the same concept. We need to organize different mapping object under different s/wcv and bundled into a product so that the whole design can be deliver to the customer.
If u attach same swcv in different product then it will create problem or illogical organization of work
