RESTART SAP XI SERVER

Hi all

how can we restart X server...could anyone expalin me the detailed procedure?

HI,

The way of doing this is go to transaction SMICM-->Administration>J2EE Instance (Local) -


> Send Soft Shutdown--


> With Restart.

Hi Rajesh

to restart xi server there are two things

1) if you want to restart only java server then steps are as descibed by sai ganesh goto transaction SMICM=>administration=>j2eeinstance local=>softshutdown with restart

2) if you want to restart total XI server including java and abap then you have to restart with SAP MANAGER

go to SAP MANAGER and stop and start xi server like if you have done in SQL server

its just like doing windows stop and start

Hi

Open SAP Management console and right click on host name and select STOP and wait for few sec to get stop all the workprocess tables. The colour of the system has to be in cement colour. earlier it was in green colour.

Hi,

You have to restart the J2EE engine

the steps to do this is mentionaed below:

Transaction code "SMICM" -> administration -> local J2EE instance -> Restart with soft shutdown.

please go to SAP management console and select XI server(host name) roght click and then restart...

check abap stack and JAva stack are restarted
