We need to restart one R3 system which is connected to XI.Advice it will be required to shutdown the XI queues prior to a restart of the R3 system?

yes. you need stop all the work process 0n R/3 server and restart. No need to restart XI system.
what happend to XI queues which is connected to R3 system?do we need to shutdown those Qs?
Hi,
There is no need to shutdown XI Queue.
Nothing will happen to those queues
It wont receive anything from R/3
