Installing Nw2004s AS JAVA on RH 4 Linux. While performing pre requisite check, getting the following message
High Severity: Atleast version saplocles-2.3.4-3 of the saplocales package is required for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. Current version: not installed see sap 171356.
As per SAP Note 171356, if the system is unicode , we can skip saplocale. Not sure why I am getting High Severiry.
Has anyone come across this issue ?
Any help /
Thanks!
Hi,
I personally often get simillar messages,
so now I know which messages can be ignored
After releasing the SAP software,
SAP may provide such minor bugs information as SAP notes.
In this case you can ignore those messages.
This is just because the installer is not so smart
If such addtional RPMs are really requires afterwards,
then you can apply them to the system.
cheers,

Thanks everyone !
I just the installed saplocale as per note 171356 ( though Note says ignore for unicode system) and it worked.

Dear rkandy,
please open a customer call on component BC-INS and ask for an updated prerequisite checker. Maybe there is a new version already available. Please check SAP Note 855498 for an update.
Thanks,
Hannes
