We try to use a PDF printer to print something on ECC.
For example to print the source code on SE38.
1) On the CI, we do NOT have any problem;
2) however on the application server, we get popup:
"name of frontend printer not found, using a default printer".
After "yes" above popup, we see a red error on SP01.
We cannot find any clue on OSS or SDN.
Points guaranteed. Thanks!
HI CZ,
Set the spool server for the PDF printer to be your CI only. That should solve your problem

If you are using the local server spool processes (i.e. LPR), check to see if you have the same printers on each server. You might just be missing the printer or the names might not match those on the CI.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
Please go su0 and change the printer name there. Have you configured SPAD?
