to make the text corresponding to values on x-axix of a chart dynamic.

hi Experts,

I have a chart to be displayed where the text to be displayed for a particular value on x-axix needs to be dynamic.

for eg:- there are 6 values on x-axix, 1st for yr 1998, 2nd for yr 1999,

3rd for yr 2000.

the years may vary so I need them to be dynamic. Is there anyway to solve this problem or any other way to handle the same.

not sure if i understand ur scenario correctly..however, if your yrs will vary, how do you know which entry corresponds to which yr..are you getting this data frm a query?

you can use dyamic values by adding an additional field on the output port of the query and use this field on the charts category axis instead. Ofcourse, you would need a formula to calculate and identify the yr that should display for this field.

do you mean you want to see the categories on the vertical axis? if so, use bar charts instead of column charts
