division within one division

Hi all,

Can anyone kindly explain,whether it is possible to have divisions within a division,i.e sub-divisions in one main division.

e.g: Main Division-Food

Sub-Divisions-Vegetables

Fruits

Snacks.

Create Main Division in <b>OMSF</b> (Material Group) and Sub division in <b>MM01</b>. Assign Material Group in MM01 - Basic Data1.

Thanks for the reply.

I have an idea that we can have material group.

But as per my knowledge in sap crm,it is possible to have any number of org units within one org unit.

So,I just wanted to know,whether it is possible in sd also or not.

hi,

A material is always assigned to only one division. I do not think it is possible to further divide a division into sub divisions in SAP. Speaking logically it is very true.But let us wait for the reply from our other members.

With my limited knowledge it is not possible
