Hi there,
i am working with XI and service pack 13. We have two landscapes:
1. Development (DEV): Third Party System <-> XI <-> R/3
2. Production (PROD): Third Party System <-> XI <-> R/3
Questions:
1. Since service pack 13 a new entry in mainining the SLD is available: System Landscapes
(View and configure groups of systems)
I thought a SLD is installed automatically with the XI installation. What is that option good for???
2. As you can see we have a tradional two SAP-system landscape with an development and an production system. And so we have two XI systems with own SLDs. Can I transport SLD DEV entries to the SLD PROD?? Does it make sense at all? On the one hand the technical systems are different but on the other hand the name of the business systems must be equal.
I am quite confused. Thanks for any help in advance
Christian
Hi Christian
what i think you can have only 1 SLD, and then you could use the grouping mechanism, which creates a linking between your diif business systems.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/xi/xi-how-to-guide... to configure groups and transport targets in the sld
you may find more details here...
