rdisp/appc_ca_blk_no what is this parameter use ?

Hi all,

in my instance profile this value is : 2000, but while

checkin the profile system is saying it should be default 100.

what is the parameter use ?,

what happen if the value is low or high ?

i don't know what this have to do with oracle ... but here is the explanation:

=> Specifies the number of shared memory blocks reserved for CPI-C communication for remote function calls and other CPI-C-based functionality. For further information, please see the R/3 manual SAP Communications:

If you do a rfc/cpic request the incoming data is stored in appc blocks, which are stored in the shared memory.

Please have also a look at the sapnote #384971... maybe someone in your company has seen a high load on rfc calls and set the parameters like described in the sap note.

The only thing that happen is, that you use more memory in the shared memory key area 3 as described in sapnote #384971:

=> You can view the current size of the key containing the rdisp/wp_ca_blk_no by using Transaction ST02, Detail Analysis menu, Storage, and the "Shared Memory Detail" button. Look for key 3, Dispatcher Communication Areas.

Yes this paramter can influence the performance for rfc/cpic communcation.
