SAPRouter Status : Host did not respond

Former Member

Hi,

When I try to open service connections some times I get it connected.

But some times I get this message( Host did not respond ) with a warning sign on it.

Please suggest what could be the problem?

And why it is just a warning?

Thanks & Regards

This seems to be pretty common this days...

Reinstall your SAP Service Connector and try it again... sometimes is just simply SAP doing maintenance.... a bit frustrating

That could indicate that the SAProuter timeout threshold is set too low.

See (the pretty old) SAP Note 30335

Hi Juan / Wolfgang,

Very much thankful for your time.

Sorry for delayed response.

I get connected to the sapserv2.. for some time the status remains connected.. and when i refresh it after some time it changes to "Host did not respond" ...

If it is timeout it should not connect at all..

Even though the status is Host did not respond still SAP is able to connect and work.

Wolfgang : I will go through the note and will come back to you.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Mr Rao,

the service OSS1 is no longer available (SAP removed the service)

You can only acess via service market place.

Thanks Vamsi for the response.

I was through with my SAP Router configuration.

The problem is with my SAPRouttab entry.

The status doesnot remain connected as long as you are connected.

Even though it shows as cancelled I see SAP consultants still able to login and work.

Hello,

I was wondering why the status of the saprouter remains unchanged even though the connections were not set-up. The signal light is red but the saprouter status is "connected". Also, i cannot change the saprouter through the R/3 connection.

Thanks!

regards,

Grace
