SAP Tools for MS SQL Server - OSS Note 683447

Hello,

I perform an upgrade from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005. I have some necessary actions to do regarding the upgrade.

I must used SAP Tools as described in OSS Note 683447.

Here is an extract of the note :

"You can download the latest version of the SAP Tools for MS SQL Server

from SAP Service Marketplace at: service.sap.com/msplatforms -> SQL

Server."

When I go to service.sap.com/msplatforms -> Microsoft SQL Server, a new

page is displayed, redirecting me in Microsoft Web Site. No way to

download the "SAP Tools" for MS SQL Server...

Where can I download these tools ?

Tools are available again !

http://service.sap.com/msplatforms. Click on "SQL Server" on the left pannel. You will find tools and PDFs.

I really need the SAP Tools for MS SQL Server but I saw it doesn't available now in the SAP Market. Are you still have it. Could you please send it to me.

As mentioned in the latest version of note 683447 the SAP Tools are now part of SWPM:

You can find the SAP Tools for MS SQL Server on the SWPM welcome screen at the following location:
-> Generic Installation Options
     -> MS SQL Server
          -> Database Tools

Remember to use the SWPM package, as mentioned in note 683447.

Hello Jeremy,

If you could download the latest SAP installation master DVD matching your SAP release, there may be an option called "homogeneous system copy" or something alike.

That option should work just like the STM tool mentioned in Note 683447.

No, no way to download this #!*ù% tools ! ;-).

The OSS notes given by Kaushal do not help (already read).

I have a call open in SAP Support. Hope they will answer and give me these tools. If so, I will send them to you.

(But I'm afraid these tools are not available anymore...).

Hi,

If you can not find SAP tools for MS SQL server you can perform upgrade manually using following metod.

1) look at sap note Note 799058 - Setting Up Microsoft SQL Server 2005

section II UPGRADE MS SQL SERVER 2000 to MS SQL SERVER 2005

2) Perform manual steps using note Note 151603 - Copying an SQL Server database

Step 8: Follow-up procedure
