Hi Rokie.

You can restart it from the SAPMMC Console.

Open the SAPMMC Console, right click on the host name ---> All tasks ---> Stop.

Once, all the icons turn into grey color from green, then you can start it by right clicking on the hostname-->all tasks ---> start.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Hari.

Hi Hari,

How to invoke SAPMMC?

It is on the physical XI Sever. Only BASIS people would have access to it generally. You should have shortcut on the server desktop to start SAP Management Console.

By the way, do you know what's the difference between Soft Shutdown WITH Restart and WITHOUT Restart?

Thanks

The name tells it. With restart.. it will automatically restart the engine once it shuts down. Otherwise not.
