CTM logic

Hello Gurus -

1. 2 DCs with a demand of 100 for the same day

2. Production facility with a capacity of 100

3. Both DCs procure from the only production facility

4. No prioritization rules exist, no quota arrangements

How would CTM behave in such a situation? What would be the logic be? How does CTM know which demand to satisfy first? the help document says ( incase when multiple supply sources exist without any rules) If the system cannot uniquely determine the source of supply in this way, CTM then determines a random result.

Does it mean the system proposes a random solution even in my case?

Appreciate your help. Apologize for asking such a simple scenario as I cannot test it out myself as the system is not ready for us!

Thanks

Based on my understanding, CTM does not do fair-sharing. It will keep shorting one DC and satisfying the other all through. The behaviour is random. Dont think it is any alphabetical order or something. QA only work in inbound situations and not in outbound for CTM.
