where can i find out pre-requisites for installing SAP on Sun Fire V245 system

It's not the SERVER but the SOFTWARE that needs to be checked.

What will you run on that box? Solaris 9 or 10?

I would like to run Solaris 10

Check note 724713 - parameter settings for Solaris 10.

If you run Oracle you will need to check, that when applying patches using OPatch you will need to give an additional parameter (see note 841728 - Oracle Database 10g: Software installation problems 10.2.0 - Point 5).
