MSS portal business package

Hi everyone. Get ready to respond, because I'm ready to give out some points!

Where can I find the latest business package for MSS?

I go here:

Which leads to <a href="https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=DISPHIER&HEADER=Y&FUNCTIONBAR=N&EVENT=TREE&V=MAINT&TA=ACTUAL&TMPL=01200615320200007345">here</a>.

However, of the two files that I can download (BP_ERP4MSS0_1-10002991.zip and BP_ERP4MSS0_2-10002991.zip), neither contain any .EPA files. Instead they both contain the same .SCA file: BPERP4MSS01_0.sca.

But when I go to import the package in the portal (System Administration->Transport Packages->Import), it asks for "*.epa" files.

So where do I go to get the latest .EPA file for MSS? Or can I use this .SCA file somehow?

You import the Business packages in the portal its self via a upload.

you don't use SDM to deploy them

Hi Spencer,

have you setup the BW side for MSS? I am just starting to look at the same issue and this is just a guess.

Excellent! Thanks for your help! Installing the Business Package for Common Parts fixed the problem of the missing PCR link.

However, I still get "Error loading template" errors:

Error loading template 0TPLS_0PA_C01_Q0110_V02_C (Headcount)

Error loading template 0TPLI_0CCA_C11_Q0081 (Cost Center - Costing Blocks)

Error loading template 0TPL_MSS_PLANNING (Budget Consumption Overview)

Anyone know how to load these so they work?

Hi kellis,

You have to download and deploy the following through SDM (for NW04s/EP7),

1. Business Package for MSS (contains roles,worksets for your Business Package)

2. PCUI_GP (WebDynpro Component)

3. SAP_MSS (WebDynpro Coponent - your MSS application files)

To use ESS and MSS in Conjunction, you also have to deploy Business Package for Common Parts.

Backend SAP systems should have SAP HR and SAP FIN configured.

Awesome! Excellent! Yes, deployment using SDM worked great. Most of MSS seems to be there now.

However, a couple of problems:

1. I am getting an "Error loading template" message in some places. For example, on the "Team" link, under "Headcount," I get the following message:

Error loading template 0TPLS_0PA_C01_Q0110_V02_C

On the ABAP side, however, transaction RSA1->BI Content, I can't seem to find where the object is to install.

2. Under the "Team" workset, there is no link for Personnel Change Requests:

Anyone know how to get the PCR link to show up?

I believe SCA files have to be deployed using SDM and/or JSPM
