Hi Experts!,
I want to configure SAP system to send mails using 3rd party SMTP server. Could any one help me how to configure the same, from scratch.
useful answer will get full points!!!!
I am using SAP 4.7EE.
Thanks in advance,
Sunil.
Hi,
First : why are you shouting (writing with bold police) ?
You won't get better answers...
You don't also need to pledge points.
To send mail from R/3 4.7, you need to activate an SMTP service in your ICM
For example :
icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=1025
You can check it's OK from SMICM --> Goto --> Services
Then you have to configure the SMTP node in transaction SCOT.
Set a default domain.
Configure you 3rd party mail server
Authorise the email addresses you want to be able to send mail to.
Schedule the peridic job to push the mail.
Details are, as always, on http://HELP.SAP.COM
Good luck !
Olivier

Hi Oliver,
I am really appreciate you suggestion, I was not shouting but I thought if I place in BOLD people can clearly look at the exact issue. And about points, ya if its a good answer I will provide or not.
Thanks for your answer, from Now onwards I won't place quires in Bold, and one more thing, I will try with the same answer and also try in help.sap.com and if any error, anyway, you are there to help me.
Thanks a lot,
Sunil
