Hi all,
My clients has grouped the Material number's at AG & AUG level. Where AG & AUG are derived from the material group [based on certain logic].
Now at reporting level they want to see the information somewhat like this:
AG -> AUG -> Material Number. i.e a hierarchy.
How can i achieve this or simply how to create the hierarchy.
Everyeyear they regroup thre material's under different AG & AUG's, so i have decided to enhance the material master for the same, so that even if they regroup it my reportings based on it does not get affected.
But i have not worked with hierarchy so far.
Require help from SDN'ers.
Thanks.
To begin with..take a look at this link
You can identify the datasource for material hierarchy in RSA5.

Search SDN...There are a lot of threads on creating Hierarchies.

Hi Dipika,
You can add the levels AG and AUG as navigation attribute of material number.
You can also create a hierarchy to meet the reporting requirement on Material number.
If you want to use AG and AUG as levels in the hierarchy, you will have to add them as external characteristics in Hierarchies in the hierarchy tab of material number infoobject
Assign points if useful
