Hi,

I guess for this, no need to follow any link or guide. Just think a bit yourself that if you want to do play Lawn tennis then you need a Racket, a ball and a net for this and ofcourse the other player with same equipment.

For SAP to NON-SAP technology, there is something in between to send data and receive data, this something is known as Adapters. Adapters main work is to send data to a system and to receive data from a system. it may be a SAP to SAP system or SAP to Other System (Third party system).

Suppose if you want to send data to SAP-XI system to a Database (lets say SQLSERVER). For this you do some mapping depending upon your requirement or senario, and the you configure your sender and receiver in XI. for the receiver, you configured a communication channel of type JDBC Adapter. This adapter work is to connect to any of the Databases depending upon you configuration at Communication channel. Then at runtime it will find from JDBC Receiver Communication channel that to which database its gonna send data. Its detemine by the XI by checking JDBC aapter configuration.

I Hope it will help you. In any case, feel free to post it again.

Hi Rahul,

Kindly have look at following for various types/situations of integrations.

You can use the XI Siebel Adapter provided by iWay.

Refer: (Service Marketplace ID required)

Also -https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/instguides -->mySAP Business suite Applications

For AS400, we have used File based integration. The AS400 creates a flat file which is read by SAP XI File adapter and sent through regular processing.

For OS/390, we used the MQ adapter to retrieve messages sent by the application on OS/390. The JMS implementation for MQ allows XI to pick messages off the queue, and routed through regular processing.

Please see the below links

Kindly reward points for useful reply.

hi rahul,

sap n non sap systems can be integrated using XI by means of various adapters provided. the adapters convert the data from sap/non sap system format into xi format and vice versa.

u mite want to go thru basic xi docs to help u understand the concept better.so refer this:
