Can Anyone Give more significance of Implementing MASK.

Significance of Mask in simple worda can be explined as it mainly makes various screenshots available as per requirement.

Mask can be considered as like screen shot of the table.It mainly aims to segregate various views to diversified customers which may be either a requirement or a part of constraints.one record under mask can create one mask record.

In a nutshell purpose of mask is accessibility of viewing different non-editable screens as per the requirements

Hi Deepak,

one more main significance of Mask is to give restricted access to records to any particular user.

You can create a mask and then can assign this mask to any role. Now users belonging to that roles will only be able to see that much amount of records that are assigned to the particular mask. in addition; users belonging to that particular role will remain totally unaware of the other records which are not assigned in their mask.

1.Product masks allow you to partition a single master repository into as many customized, virtual subset repositories as you like.

2.The main uses of masks are to edit an arbitrary subset of records as a group, and to publish custom “subset catalogs.”

3. The Maskstable must already have been created for the repository (using the MDM Console), and the individual mask(s) already defined before you can add records to, remove records from, or replace records in a mask.

4.To add a new mask or delete an existing mask from the hierarchy of masks, you can use the Modify Mask command

5. You can restrict the masks depending upon user roles, i.e, one user he can use the particular mask only, we will do this setting in the console.

6. When you create a new repository, by default you will have a mask table.
