STO Inventory Valuation

Hi Gurus,

I have doubt in inventory valuation when STO is done :

1. We create STO in ME21N.

2. We do Post goods Issue in VL02n

3. Now in ME22N for this STO system under purchase order history for mvmt type 641 system shows the inventory value posted.

4. When Goods Receipt is done at desitnation location through mvmt type 101 system doesnt show any value against this document

In this case how is the inventory value transferred from one plant to other plant within system. Is there any configuration required for this & what has to be done.

Hi,

When 641 movement type is posted the inventory value is decreased in the issuing plant and this value gets added to the receiving plant while doing the delivery. Hence while doing the goods receipt, no value updation happens.

In my case when I do 641 mvmt type value is getting decreased only from issuing plant & at receiving plant value is not getting added. I have checked in mc48 only qty is being transferred but not value.

Can u please tell me where could be the problem? Secondly while doing delivery challan system is not capturing business area at item level. What could be the problem?

The value is already transferred to the receiving plant on goods issue in the supplying plant (in finance).

So there is no question of doing any postings during goods receipt,
