Hi
We are implementing SRM-MDM Catalog V2 and we have some doubts:
1) In the customizing about the portal side we choose some fields to send to SRM (Assign OCI). Can we send any field?
2) We see that there are some custom fileds, how does SRM catch this field? Can we use some BADI? Is this a natural process inside SRM?
Any suggestion.

Hi jose,
You have to map every field for which you have data in Data manager so it will display all the field value in the SRM side.
Those fields which are default that automatically get mapped with the OCI fields and some fields that new created have to map with the NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD1, or you can also manually map with the other OCI_FIELDS And to do this you have to assign the proper code for each field such as MDMSRM_FIELDNAME in the Console.
Once this has been done SRM automatically catch these fields.
Hope dis helps.
feel free to ask.

Hi Jose,
If you have created any extra fields or tables then make sure that they have proper codes assigned to them like for eg. MDM by default follows code name as MDMSRM_FIELDNAME.
If you have proper codes given to the newly created fields then you need to do the OCI mapping.
If the newly created field has any relevance to the OCI fields then you can map them else map it with NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD1.
After mapping these fields SRM directly catches them.
Hope dis helps u
