to block infoobject in query

Dear friends,

As I can make to create a profile that the user does not allow

to visualize the data of infoobjeto 0PAYSCALEGR in one query.

The user will be able to see all the data of the cube in one query, less the data of infoobjeto 0PAYSCALEGR.

I want to block infoobject 0PAYSCALEGR so that the user does not use in query.

It would be iqual to the 0TCAKYFNM that blocks keyfigures.

Thanks

Hi James,

Whenever you want to restrict authorizations for certain info objects ( both Key figures and characteristics ) to a user, you want to make those info objects as Authorization relevant.

In your case where you dont want a particular info object not to be reflected into the queries, you need to uncheck the authorization relevancy so that the query wont filter on that particular infoobject.

Hope this helps.

Kiran Kandepalli.

Hi,

Be aware of the fact that in BI 7.0 when an InfoObject is authorization relevant that for every info provider in which it is, an authorization must be given, that is the difference towards release 3.x.

have fun
