Driver for HP Business Inkjet 1200 avaiable somewhere

Hello,

our customer has some 'HP Business Inkjets 1200' in use. Unfortunately, this printer cannot print via PCL4 but only via PCL3.

Has someone been able to use this type of inkjet with SAP (Rel 4.7 Enterprise). If not, anyone near Germany/Frankfurt whow ants to buy 70 inkjets 1200 ?

I guess you are don't want to use frontend printing otherwise you could have used device type SAPWIN/SWIN with front end printing which is a generic driver. If your application servers are on windows (I guess not) then also you can use SAPWIN/SWIN.

Try OSS Note 199166, which tells you about a device type ZHPPCLII that can be downloaded from http://jazz.external.hp.com.

If nothing works, why not give HP a call ?

Hi Sanjeev,

sorry, i forgot to mention that SAPWIN/frontend printing ist not an option, because the printer is used in batch-jobs.

HP cal is the next option, though i remember, that someone somewhere said that HP will not develop an SAP-driver for that model.

I will try ZHPPCLII and come back with the result, thanks!
