Unplanned characteristics in the Inspection Plan

Former Member

Hi,

If the client wants to use only Inspection characteristics and he wants to add a few more characteristics in the Inspn plan, is it OK ?

In the help.sap.com notes, it is mentioned that the Unplanned characteristics should be Master Inspn Characteristics (MIC)

Pl. guide. Regards, MKM

hi krishna

The scenerio is like this you create 50 MIC for the plant and assign some 5 to the inspection plan.while recording results if you want to add characteristic you can select from the remaining 45 MIC only.(You cannot create MIC while entering results recording)

Thank you Thyagarajan,

But here the scenario is:

The client doesn't want to use MIC at all.

He just wants to use Inspection characteristics in the Inspn Plans.

In that, he wants to add some more..characteristics.

My point is:

As such, all characteristics seem to be (a sort or) unplanned characteristics, in the plan. Hence, adding a few more wouldn't cause any problem.

hi krishna

Adding few characteristic while result recording will not cause any problem ,but if you add some characteristic to some material while results recording, it will not reflect while you doing result recording for the second time. Moreover you can also create Material specification which will be maintained in the client level.you can also use then provided you have activiated the inspection with mat, spec in the material master
