1) May i know what is the different between these SAPLPD and SAPSPRINT?
2) What is the advantage and disadvantage(pro & cons) of these?
3) Is there any other printing method(excuse me if i use the wrong term, not sure wat to call) that are more stable?
The corporation i currently working in had around 60k to 70k spools per day to be process and the SAPLPD hanged a few times almost everyday.
We separate all the printers into Window server 2003 OS and UNIX OS.
In Window server 2003, we use SAPLPD, i not sure is there SAPLPD in UNIX as well(due to UNIX is handle by another team, not basis)
So my questions are:
4) Any setting in SAP level can I do in order to optimised the performance of the system to reduce printing stuck/hang coz SAPLPD crashed/hung.
5) Any setting from OS level can i do to optimised the system?
6) what is the possible reason that causing the SAPLPD that always get hung? over heavy load?
7) what is the use of the Spool Server(from tcode spad)? for load balancing?
😎 What is the different between Access method like L,P,S,U?
Thanks in advance!

SAPSprint replaces SAPlpd as an implementation of a print server and is required only for remote printing with Microsoft Windows.
