PPM Explosion issue

Hello All,

We have created a SNP model and its master data for Demo purpose. I am trying to run heuristics but my Demand from Finished Product (output component) is not getting transferred to Raw Material (input component).

I see Planned production order generated for the Finished product but no demand for Raw Material.

Can you please suggest what could be going wrong here?

Hi,

Please check the below points

1. check the PPM (check whether the raw material is part of the PPM and the PPM is active)

2. Which heuristic are you using ?

If you you are using location heuristic for FG, it will only plan for the FG and not for the raw material.

If you want to plan the materials at all the levels of Bill of materials, you need to execute multilevel heuristic or location heuristic for the raw material.

Hello,

I found the issue. I haven't mentioned the Planner in Product Master Data and Resource Master Data. Once I entered the Prodn Planner details in the Master data, PPM explosion occurred during Heuristics.
