Hello,

I created a query on Multiprovider let say Query1

I created another query let say query2 same multiprovider in this query I created Restricted keyfigures these restricted keyfigures are showing in Query1 in left side of query designer.

My question is until unless if we don't use those restricted keyfigure is should not effect the query1 right?

somebody explain more detail on this i would appreciate.

I am not aware of Global Restricted Variables ..( Int Planning ??? )

Are you referring to ( Global ) Restricted Keyfigures & ( Local ) Selections ?

Restricted Keyfigures - Global ( to Infoprovider ) - Can be used across other queries created on same Infoprovider.

Selection - Local ( to Query ) - Cannot be used across other queries.

I am not aware of any thing like Local Restricted Keyfigures ....did you meant Selections.

Right Click in Rows and Columns ( After creating a Structure ) - Create new Selection.

Restricted Keyfigures - Global / Selections - Local

Calculated Keyfigures - Global / Formulae - Local

When you include a KF in a query, you can right click on it and select 'edit'. Then you can apply restrictions on it.

Hope this answers your question.

if you create a RKF from Keyfigures tree(left hand panel of Query designer),it will be global as you have to provide a technical name..and this RKF can be use dacross all Queries on same multiProvider.

If you create a Selection (RKF) in Query designer i.e in rows or columns by right clicking on a Structure>new selection>drag and drop required Keyfigure and chars into it...Here this is local as you can use this RKF in this Query only..This will not have any technical name...

Hope its clear.
