When do u approach ABAPers

In short, wherever, the process is not addressed in standard SAP, you need ABABers help.

In detail, Imagine being a Consultant you are going to implement SAP for a client. The client will list out all their requirements which is nothing but AS-IS study. You have to go through the same and indicate your client that what are the issues that can be addressed through standard SAP, say for example, from SD point of view, you can create a standard order, delivery and billing. But if the client's requirement is different from standard process, you need to configure a zee transaction through which the requirement can be met.

At this stage, ABABers will come into picture. You have to explain the process to ABABer and also indicate the tables in which it can be stored. Based on this, ABABer will write a code and assign a zee code.

Similarly the client expects various reports and ask you to provide. While some reports can be taken from standard SAP, some needs to be developed and here also, you need ABABers help.

Hi,

If you want to develope any Z outputs , New routines,New Z reports,Userexits to be used this is the time you need ABAP consultant.

In addition to this if you have any problems in standard programs which is causing trouble to Debugg the find out cause/Solution you need ABAPer.
