Hello,
we are in SAPR3 46C SR2 we have sap scripts.
In ECC6 we need migrate SAP scripts in ADOBE FORMS.
Do we need to install Application Server java ?
is application server ABAP is sufficient ?
thanks
Hi Laurent,
You will need to install the AS Java inorder for your Adobe forms to work.
This is because the Adobe Document Services (ADS) run as a Web Service in the JAVA stack.
In addition , you will also need to configure the JAVA AS as well as the ABAP AS, inorder that your Adobe forms work fine.
For the ADS configuration for JAVA and ABAP stacks, check out the following link:

Hope this helps.

You can also do a search in the Portal area of SDN.

Hello Laurent,
For runnig a adobe form, you need to consume service from Adobe Document Server, which is part of the J2EE Engine (AS JAVA). I am not sure of the configuration of ABAP server for ADS.
So, check if you can configure ADS with your ABAP Server.
If ABAP server is capable of consuming service from ADS, then there is no need to install a java Application Server.
Hope, this answers your question.
Regards,
Debasish
