<u>Equipment Number</u>
Number by which a piece of equipment can be clearly identified.
Use- Enter in this field the number of the equipment that you want to create,
change or display.
Dependencies-There are two possibilities when you are creating a piece of equipment:
Internal number assignment is active in your company.
Leave this field blank. The system will allocate a number
automatically from an internal number range when you save the master record.
<u>Serial number</u>
Specifies the serial number of a serialized material.
Use-You can use the serial number to identify individual instances of a
material for individual tracking purposes.
Dependencies- A prerequisite for using a serial number in the logistical process is a
serial number profile at material plant level.
