Hi,

Can you ping the Server from your laptop?

open a cmd prompt and type in the following:

c:\telnet <Servername> 3200

if a blank screen is displayed the correct ports are open.

Open SAP Logon and selsct 'User Defined'

Type in a description

Application Server: <Server host name> or IP address

System ID: <SID>

System number: ## <System number as installed on the server>

Regards

Hi,

I hope you have installed SAPGUI already which should say in your desktp "SAP Logon 640. double click and systems tab. >>> click user-defined>>>> in the application server: type either hostname or ip address of sap server.

System id: your SID

System number: maybe 00 (default)

click "add and logon".

This only will work if your laptop and sap server is in same network. meaning, it will not work if your system is in office and you laptop is in home unless you have VPN connection.

I hope this will solve your problem.

Thanks,

Hi Rajendiran,

from ur front end u have installed ,u have to give details in the frontend as u have to add the SID ,SAP Router string(ie the ip of the server) ,Description then u will be able to connect the server laptop.
