CRM 5.2 standard BI Content

Hi CRM Experts,

I wish to activate the standard BI content available in CRM 5.2. For this I have run Tcode RSA1, but the system is popping up error as : "BW adminstration only in client 001".

Is it for any standard BI Content activation, every time I need to log in client 001 which is a standard client? Or is there any other way out?

Kindly guide me.

Hi Ravindra,

RSA1 is a BW transaction. In BW there can only be one client for BW administration. This client can be set via Function RS_MANDT_UNIQUE_SET (SE37).

On the CRM side, to activate BI content datasources, go to TA RSA5, after you accepted the content hierarchy in RSA9.

The only way I've ever activated standard content is from client 001.

Typically your DBA will have to do this for you since most developers don't get an ID in this client. They will typically login using DDIC or SAP* for this client.

If anyone else knows a way around this, would be interested to find out.

BI content is usually installed in BW system by BASIS team.

Activation of this content can be made later by consultant in BW system in RSA1
